Due to smsweb’s position as provider of mobile communication solutions to schools, we have identified a growing need for schools and parents to arm themselves with up-to-date knowledge on e-safety and the dangers to children of uncontrolled electronic access to the internet, chat rooms and other online media and services. This is a particular area of vulnerability for modern children (who are much more ‘e-savvy’ than their parents), and parents and teachers are currently ill-equipped to deal with the growing problems arising in this area.

Our aim is to provide schools, teachers and parents with the latest thinking, developments, articles and information relating to e-safety, and that is why we have put together the esafety.co.za site. In addition, we also conduct talks and presentations on e-safety at schools, and other public forums.
